Onzul Altanhuyag

I was born on August 30, 2005, in the General Hospital of Sukhbaatar soum, Selenge province, as the family's eldest daughter.

In 2007, I joined kindergarten No. 2 (Dambo kindergarten) in Altanbulag soum, Selenge province, and in 2008, I transferred to Nairamdal kindergarten No.1 in the soum, and graduated in 2010. In 2011, I joined a high school named after Rinchen.B. During my studies at school, I actively participated in clubs and developed versatile skills. Specifically, In the 6th grade, I joined the school's music club, learned to play the national harp, and successfully participated in many competitions during my 5-year study of this music.

In the 11th grade, I became one of the first 90 members of the "Youth Parliament 2021" program organized by the Chairman of the Parliament Zandanshatar.G, and was elected as a representative member of the Selenge province. As part of the program, I participated in parliamentary education, increased awareness of climate change, and volunteered. In 2021, I founded a new group called "Mini Parliament" in my school and was its leader. In 2022, I gave the succession to the next generation. In March 2022, I became a member of the Children's Council of Selenge province, and in July, a representative of Selenge province participated in the first "Tent Assembly" of the Mongolian Children's Council, a 3-day conference was held at the Nairamdal International Children's Camp. On November 30, I was elected as the vice chair of the Children's Council of Selenge province and am currently working as the vice chair. I was selected as the "Outstanding Student of Soum" in 2022 and the best graduate of the school in 2023, and I graduated with the "Best Alumni" award from the Mongolian Students' Association.

In 2023, General admission test was given in five subjects: Mongolian history, Mongolian language, Social science, Mathematics, and English. Now, I am studying in the 1st course of the Philosophy class of the Department of Humanities at the School of Science of the National University of Mongolia.

Fall Semester Update:

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for giving me this great opportunity. Thanks to you, I learned about the Rotaract club and YOUTHinc and joined. We are working together on projects and programs by getting to know great brothers, sisters, friends and siblings with various talents. I also joined the Student Union and made friends from many fields, as well as learning from them.

This semester, I've been reflecting on the words my high school teachers used to tell me. Each teacher had a different approach to assessment, grading.

In accordance with the advice given by the my field, I chose and studied professional basic courses in addition to general basic courses. My senior student sister, whom I met in the student union, said, "Professional basic courses are more difficult than general basic courses," and it was a reminder to me.

My first semester away from my family and into student life was full of mistakes and highs and many memories. I will learn better in the future and do my best. Thank you.

Spring Semester Update:

Greetings! First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for giving me this great opportunity. In this term, I participated in the mini-Olympiad organized by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies among the students of the professional class, together with the other students of the higher grades. I also studied a basic professional course. While I was studying the course, I asked for advice about my profession from a higher grade student.

I will take an exam for transferring to the Law School. Because, my intention before starting my studies was to enter the School of Law of the National University of Mongolia, but I failed to enter. I decided to take the exam so that I wouldn't regret it later, as I wanted to become a lawyer. I joined Urguu Rotaract club in December 2023 and we successfully organized "Human-Treasure" National Heritage Entertainment Day. I served as a member of the organizing committee of the event. I also participated in the 7th marketing program of YOUTHinc or Mongolian Young Professionals Association.

This summer, I set a goal to improve my English speaking skills. My first two semesters away from my family and entering the life of a student was full of lessons learned and many memories. I will try harder to study well so that I don't lose your trust in me. Thank you.
